As a follow-up to our just concluded 2023 Batch B, Stream 1 inter-platoon debate theme: What are Public Policies? Can understanding public policies like the current administration’s economic policy give a citizen, especially youths, an employment or entrepreneurship advantage? and if yes, how?
We invite you to connect with the NYSC Digital Economy And 1 Million Jobs Champion Programme by:
- Understanding the Digital Economy and the top 10 in-demand jobs: What they do, average pay, skills required, courses to study, etc.
- Choose 1 of the 10 in-demand jobs/careers and get a Coursera Certification study pass from NITDA and links from other learning platforms like Skills Shop, YouTube, Udemy, etc.
- Get assigned to a mentor for a 1 hour weekly engagement and subsequent project or remote work opportunities
- Choose one of the Digital Onboarder Community Development Service Group projects to step down your learning:
(i.) Mentor 10 YNEET – Youth Not in Education, Employment, and Training in your host community
(ii.) Digitizing and formalizing 10 women-owned businesses in your host community,
(iii.) Manage a NITDA Digital Economy Centre in a secondary school, train 50 students on digital literacy, online safety, and start a Web Rangers Club.
All projects will be implemented using a standard manual and progress tracked through a weekly assessment.
- Get internet data support as a committed champion after completing each of your relevant courses
- Get profiled while doing the courses to track your progress, receive badges, and be positioned for opportunities
