Job DetailsCormart Nigeria Limited is seeking a Business Development Officer to support the identification, evaluation, and execution of strategic growth opportunities across new manufacturing lines, product extensions, and adjacent markets.
Key Responsibilities
Identify new manufacturing, product, and market opportunities.
Conduct market, competitive, and preliminary feasibility assessments.
Develop concept notes, business cases, feasibility studies, and project charters.
Coordinate inputs from Market Research, Finance, Production, R&D, Technical, Data Analytics, and Sales.
Develop financial projections, CAPEX estimates, and investment recommendations.
Prepare implementation plans covering timelines, resources, milestones, risks, and accountability.
Track growth initiatives from concept through launch readiness.
Monitor project status, blockers, risks, and required decisions.
Support post-implementation reviews and assess performance against business case projections.
Maintain proper documentation and ensure adherence to stage-gate processes.
Recommend opportunities for progression and support prioritisation of growth initiatives.
Engage external consultants, technical advisors, equipment suppliers, and technology providers when required.
Requirements
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Economics, or a related field.
3–6 years’ experience in strategic project management, business analysis, product development, or commercial planning, preferably within manufacturing/FMCG.
Strong experience in feasibility studies and business case development.
Proficiency in financial modelling and investment analysis.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, project coordination, and written communication skills.
Ability to work effectively across multiple functions and translate complex information into clear recommendations.
